BrewDog Las Vegas -- Las Vegas, NV

Sarah Love and Kenny traveled to Las Vegas to visit a good friend and take in a show. Little did we know this would be followed by a series of unfortunately fortunate events that ultimately saved Kenny's life...

One of the main purposes of the trip was to see Nate Bargatze's "Big Dumb Eyes World Tour." The strange opening acts and stand-up comedy left much to be desired. The material Nate used seemed to be testing the waters for perhaps another televised special, but much to our dismay it fell flat. To make matters worse, Kenny had fallen ill prior to the show and in addition, he had to share half his seat with the oversized gentleman sitting next to him. Kenny and Sarah Love were grossly disappointed in the evening's events.

We would like to pause a moment before continuing on to the pretzel review and fast-forward to describe the events that had befallen Sarah Love and Kenny about a month later as a result of Kenny's illness....

Sarah Love had asked if she could spend a few days at Kenny's to cut her commute time in half for a work related conference. Kenny quickly agreed as he cherishes spending time with Sarah Love. Following their trip to LV, Kenny had almost gotten over his illness, all but a lingering cough remained. He noticed one morning while at work that he was getting dizzy when he stood up. A situation which progressively got worse throughout the day. Eventually, Kenny started blacking out when he got up to move about. Thinking he was getting sick again, he painstakingly finished out his day and headed home for the evening, excited to see Sarah Love.

When she arrived, she found Kenny quietly laying in his bed resting his eyes. They had plans to make a hearty meal, and Kenny sluggishly headed to the kitchen to join her. According to Sarah Love, Kenny was moving in slow motion as they worked together to cook their dinner. Eventually, Kenny's eyesight started getting extremely blurry despite his best efforts to focus by squinting. At this point, Sarah Love declared they needed to go to urgent care. Kenny, not wanting to cause a ruckus, reluctantly agreed, but wanted to stubbornly finish cooking first.

Once dinner was completed, around roughly 8:00-8:30PM, Sarah Love carted Kenny off to urgent care which was maybe a mile away. Kenny opened Sarah Love's passenger door and as he got out of her car he immediately passed out, falling to the ground and landing on all fours. Coming to, Kenny was confused about what had happened and where he was; all he knew was that it was dark and there were parked cars on either side of him. After regaining his composure, they finally made it inside the urgent care and Kenny was triaged due to him passing out in the parking lot. Unfortunately, urgent care recommended the couple go to the ER which was six miles away.

The staff of the urgent care center stood seemingly idle as Sarah Love struggled to get a woozy Kenny back into her car. Sarah Love told Kenny that he had to stick with her for seven miles so she could admit him into the hospital....

Thankfully, they arrived at the ER and again, Kenny was triaged. The nurse took his vitals and he was rapidly wheeled to an area behind the waiting room doors. Only then did they learn the severity of the situation. Kenny apparently had a resting heart rate exceeding 200 beats per minute and the medical staff worked diligently to reduce it. Of course, Kenny was resistant to the medications they used in attempt to lower his heart rate. Soon they elected to administer Ketamine and used what was a variant of defibrillator paddles on him. As Kenny floated away among melting lights, colors, and an overall feeling of an alien abduction, Sarah Love boldly stated "No dying on me!"

Kenny had started to come out of his dream-like state and was hit a fourth time with the defibrillator paddles which he was conscious enough to feel and react to. He likened it to being kicked in the chest by a horse. The ER doctor was eventually able to find a drug that slowed Kenny's heart rate down to be more reasonable. Two things Kenny vividly remembers about that evening.... Sarah Love saved his life.... And the fact that this whole situation was trigged by a minor case of COVID which Kenny had fallen ill with around the time they visited Las Vegas.

Had Sarah Love not elected to go to Kenny's that evening, Kenny admitted he would have gone to bed early, thinking he was simply getting sick. Had he taken this path, per the ER doctor, Kenny likely would have died in his sleep.

Kenny spent ten days in the hospital following and had two cardiac ablations performed. The first one didn't take, but the second one was successful and his heart issue was resolved. However, allegedly the problematic cells could return in another part of Kenny's heart at any time, so he is not 100% in the clear and continues to monitor the situation with his cardiologist.

All that being said, the day after the Nate Bargatze show, Kenny and Sarah Love decided to try and redeem their trip to Las Vegas by doing a pretzel tasting that would hopefully be better than the show.  Unfortunately, that was not the case.

"Giant Beer Pretzel"

Menu Description: Beer cheese and honey mustard dips.

$17.00

Kenny and Sarah Love landed on the grazing “designed to share” option on the menu. As the pretzel arrived at the table, they noted its gargantuan circular shape and that it was heavily salted. The brewery had dim lighting so the color was somewhat hard to describe but it looked to be a muted brown.

Upon tasting the snack, Sarah Love stated that it was sinfully dry for a baked soft pretzel.
Kenny had mentioned the beer cheese could have been both warmer as well as, thicker. The honey mustard was sadly the best thing about the platter.

Overall, this pretzel received a low rating which mostly matched the tone of our weekend trip to Vegas.

2.25 / 5.00

Sincerely,

Kenny Muzzey & Sarah Love

Arizona Wilderness DTPHX -- Phoenix, AZ

A Friday in late June, 2026... A lot of changes have been taking place for Kenny and Sarah Love in the weeks leading up to this tasting. Kenny and Sarah Love, now officially and formally engaged, decided to take a another big step forward and move-in with one another after being together for five years and four months. As a way to pay homage to these changes, and more, Sarah Love, Kenny, and a group of friends planned to get together to celebrate these new beginnings.

Everyone met early that evening on a hot summer night in the outdoor beer garden  at Arizona Wilderness DTPHX.
T
here was quite a lively crowd signaling the start of the weekend as one could hear chatter, laughter, and the occasional barking dog. Kenny and Sarah Love had utilized a ride-share service and arrived right on time for the occasion. A few individuals from the party came prior and already claimed a table.

Sarah Love and Kenny thoroughly enjoy having guest reviewers during our pretzel tastings. On that note, Sarah Love had taken the time to create a pretzel review outline that covered the categories and criteria we focus on while reviewing these delicious snacks. Everyone who wanted to join in for the experience ordered their own pretzel and we dove right in. Posted below are the findings, thoughts, and opinions of the guest reviewers, as well as, Sarah Love and Kenny.
